Content should be
chosen by you.
Not curated by an algorithm. Not optimized for advertisers. Picked by you.
“Personalized” used to be a good word. Then the ad industry got hold of it.
Now “personalized content” means an algorithm picked articles to keep you scrolling between targeted ads. The personalization is for their advertisers, not for you. The sources that actually matter get buried. Niche blogs, research journals, independent writers. Not because they're bad, but because they don't optimize for clicks.
We wanted something different: podcasts from the sources we already read, that sound the way we'd explain things to a friend.
So we built Podidex.
You pick the sources you trust. You choose how you want to hear them. Short, long, serious, funny, skeptical. Podidex turns that into a podcast that's yours.
No algorithm. No hidden feed. No one deciding what matters on your behalf.
Built by Emil Wareus
Before Podidex, I founded Debricked, a developer security company. Building for developers taught me one thing: the best tools are the ones you stop noticing.
Podidex started because I had thirty tabs open and no time to read any of them. I wanted my information to come to me in a format I could actually consume. On a walk, during a commute, while cooking. Not another feed to scroll.
